The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Fisher & Phillips LLP, to bring frewe Webinars to DeKalb Chamber Members to assist companies with issues related to labor laws.
Topic: Reducing the Legal Risks of Reduction in Force
The current economy is forcing many employers to downsize their operations. Fisher & Phillips LLP is offering free webinars to DeKalb Chamber of Commerce employers on how to minimize the risk of employee claims and lawsuits when conducting layoffs. This webinar will address the impact of federal and state WARN laws, avoidance of discrimination claims when selecting employees for layoff, and the laws affecting severance pay and severance agreements. The program will also address means to retain essential talent, to support those employees who are in transition, and to effectively communicate with employees regarding workforce reductions.
